Fiber available at neighbors, but not my house

Checking on the fiber availability my neighbors have fiber available when I enter their addresses, but it only says I can order 100 Mbps at my address. Is this a failure in the system to update? They ran the fiber lines down our street months ago. What do I need to do to get my address to show up, so I can order? I really don't want to have to order from my local cable provider, but the Fiber 1000 product is the only service I want to order from AT&T.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get my address to show up in the availability so I can order?

Hi @cheroma21

Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in AT&T! There are several factors that come into play when establishing new service in a neighborhood. If Internet 100 is the only tier that is available at the moment, you will likely have to wait for an upgrade to be available. We recommend checking in periodically to see if any changes have been made. If there's anything else you need help with, just let us know!

This isn't really helpful.

I'm trying to find out why my immediate next door neighbors, on the same side of the street as me, have access to the Fiber 1000 offering, and my residence, which is immediately next door, does not.

Telling me to "keep checking back" isn't really helpful, and doesn't really solve the problem. Is there somebody you can connect me with that can help figure out what is going on, and how we fix it?

Hi There @cheroma21

We understand how important it is to get the highest speed available.  We can look into this further to see what it available at this time.

We will be sending you a private message to your Forums Inbox, requesting some information from you.  Please reply to that message and do not post information on this thread.

Did you ever receive any helpful information on this? I am trying to understand AT&T's odd availability of fiber and figure out how to get it to my address.

Hi, the same thing is happening to me. We live in a brand new neighborhood and my house was one of the first to be built. Only three houses out of the 30 do not have fiber. I can only get 50mbs and my neighbors, two houses down, have gigabit. Please advise. Can a line not be run from the box outside my neighbor’s house to my house?

Neighbor gets fiber installed but not available at my house???

My neighbor just had AT&T fiber installed on 10/8/2019 and needless to say I was very excited to have mine installed. I went to your website and it said it was not available?  So then I called a number on your website and explained that I would like my fiber installed like my neighbor had just gotten and he told me that it was not available at my address and did not know why. Just dying to know how it’s possible my neighbor that’s maybe 100 feet away can get fiber but not at my home? I have now called several AT&T numbers and asked this question over and over and no one has clue as to why we can't get it. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

Hello there, something very similar is happening to me. We live in a fresh out of the box new neighborhood and my home was one of the first to be manufactured. Just three houses out of the 30 don't have fiber. I can just get 50mbs and my neighbors, two houses down, have gigabit. If it's not too much trouble prompt. Can a line not be kept running from the container outside my neighbor's home to my home. Please help out from this and provide a High-quality Fiber cable connection.

c974e6a8861e0b8542f8143a3c256323-fullI have the same question. It's frustrating to see AT&T's own fiber availability map like this and have NO IDEA how the residences in the star'd areas do not have access to fiber.  What's so finicky that it's available on only one side of a roadway?  Why only partially up one roadway?

I'd really like to know the mechanics of this.  I'm ready to switch from Comcast to fiber since I don't use TV, It's close enough that I could pay a neighbor to get it and throw down 100 feet of gigabit cable.  But right now that's the only way I'd have access to it.

The map just feels wrong... like they actually got the map wrong.
Did anyone ever get any real answers?  Or help when fiber is SOOOO close?
