AT&T Fiber is delivered via DHCP with at MTU of 1500 to your AT&T provided Gateway (router, modem, Wi-FI). You will have a sticky that is not very easy to change even if you want too.
Please double-check that your address qualifies at this link: https://www.att.com/availability

Thanks Dave. I was hoping it would be DHCP.

I’m about to order and had a couple clarifying questions, if anyone knows.
i know Dave said it’s DHCP but then I caught that he said DHCP to an AT&T gateway. Do I have to use the gateway or can I terminate the ONT handoff directly on my firewall? If I have to use the AT&T gateway, can it be placed in bridge mode (or whatever name is appropriate) such that the public IP is passed through to my firewall?
As I mentioned in my initial question a ways back, I want to avoid PPPoE.
Thanks!
