AT&T Not honoring promotion "GET4KTV"
Writing this message as a PSA: if like me you find yourself at the end of your patience trying to redeem the sign-up offer that ATT was running in February 2019, please make sure you file a complaint about ATT's deceiving promotional practices with the Better Business Bureau.
https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started
Moved in to a new neighborhood and decided to go with ATT for Fiber because they had an attractive "lure" promotion going on: use promo code "GET4KTV" upon checkout and receive a 32Gb Apple TV 4k/
Conditions were: new ATT Fiber subscribers on either the 300Mbps or 1000Mbps plan (check), signing up for 12-months service (check).
6 months later, I've called customer service twice (30min each time) and gone into an ATT Store, to no avail.
Nobody seems to be able to help, nobody will honor this promotion.
I'm taking my business elsewhere (hello Sonic), and suggest everyone does the same.
This is not how you run a business.

Thank you for posting info on how to report this ATT scam. Like you, I ordered the 1000 Mbps plan & signed a 12 month contract back in February but never received the free Apple TV 4K. After NUMEROUS calls to customer service & MANY wasted hours, I finally gave up. ATT had no intention of fulfilling the promotional Apple TV 4K offer & every CS rep I spoke to was less than helpful.
I don’t understand how they can get away with what is, simply put, a SCAM. The only reason we switched to ATT was because of the free Apple TV & even though they won’t hold up their end of the deal, we’re still bound by a contract with an ETF. If this is how they treat their customers, it’s worth every penny to completely sever all ties with ATT. We just went back to Comcast & I will NEVER again purchase another ATT product or service.
I came here looking for an option to cancel my ATT internet service online & wandered over to the forums to see if anyone else had experienced the same or similar issues with the Apple TV promotion. [Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].

Hello,
I'm not an AT&T Rep or work for them, But I am and watch technology
Sorry I haven't heard of anything about a free Apple 4K TV deal.
Please remember there are a ton of Scams going on just like the email telling me I'm getting $150 from Amazon

I'm 100% with you.
For a quick update on our situation personally, I ended up opening a
complaint via the Better Business Bureau for fraudulent advertising (
https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started)
This had the effect of triggering a response: A higher-up customer service
rep from ATT reached out to me by phone in less than 24 hours.
That being said, their response and stance was in line with their overall
business practices: lame and disappointing.
They ended up blaming the mistake on a miscommunication with the sales rep
who originally handled my order and activated my line over the phone - said
they could no longer honor the promotion and offered a $50 credit on my
account.
In my view this is an unacceptable response.
As soon as our 12-months are up, we're moving back to Sonic.
