AT&T fiber installed on my land but no service

Back in June 2020 fiber was installed on my land no one asked for permission. I have called and had a service tech tell me that it is fiber but it is not on the map yet.  Several hours in calls emails to engineers no one can seem to give me an answer as to when I will have internet. With this COVID I have two kids doing online school using phone hot spots. This is my last shot at getting internet if this don’t work I don’t know what to do.

Does att have an easement through your property? Even if they don’t, you could be facing legal and financial action against you by digging up the fiber line.

10 year 100k fine for tampering with communications equipment. That fiber may not be residential fiber ie emergency services. Cell tower. School. Government agencies. These are called backbone fiber  and are a direct shot to its intended user with all fiber already dedicated to serve the end user with a few spare fibers for extended services or alternative fiber for a bag fiber

I get it however, it is for residential I have multiple hand holes for connections. Not gonna dig it up! It’s just frustrating because no one can seem to tell me when I will have service.

It can be frustrating seeing fiber run right by your home, with no connections being offered. ATT doesn't publicize expansion plans, even with it's field staff. If it's coming, they'll blitz the neighborhood with direct mail pieces advertising the service.

@Klee253 it can take any where from 6-12 months for a residential Fiber loop to be activated and this was before Covid-19. Putting the Fiber in the ground and adding the Tap points is just one key phase.

Do you actually have a hand hole physically near your address on the same side of the street?

Have you put your address here to check on services available?

Check the addresses on the left and right of your address too.
