ATT Fiber Availability in Stockton, CA

hello!

i was looking at the coverage map for at&t fiber and notice that stockton, ca is one of the "cities available now."  however, as i go to check the availability i see that it is not available.  is it available in only certain areas of stockton? or is not available at all, period?  please help clarify this for me, because, man, i would very much dump comcast for at&t fiber in a heart beat.

Our Coverage map just gives you a general idea where are service is available.  To get the most accurate information we ask you to use our Check Availability Tool.  I also recommend you visit our Notify Me page.  By filling out this form you let AT&T know where there is demand for our service, and will be notified when service becomes available.

A total of 12.5 million addresses in at least 67 markets over 21 states...

Represents about 18% of all addresses in the ATT footprint.

The ATT Fiber MDU map shows 47 properties in the Stockton, Morada with another 26 around Lodi.

Possible residential service will be located around the MDU areas.

thank you both for your replies.  unfortunately, the residential area where i'm in is not near any MDUs.  it's an old area, so i'm gonna assume that to install fiber optics for this residential area will cost a lot for AT&T to fork out and do so.  in other words, it will take a decade or so to start putting down fiber for old residential neighborhoods.  i guess it's gonna be comcast for the foreseeable future and beyond Smiley Frustrated
