I want to upgrade from Internet 25 to 300 megabit fiber. I was told by ATT that if I switch my internet from copper fed to fiber I will lose my ACP discount. Why ??

The benefit is available on all AT&T Internet plans, including AT&T Fiber, which is now delivering up to 5 GIG speeds in select areas. The ACP benefit will remain on your account even if you upgrade your service.
If you choose an internet plan that costs more than the monthly benefit available through the ACP, you are responsible for any amount over the $30 per month (or over $75 per month on Tribal lands) ACP benefit.

Mr Skeeter. As I said , I’m already getting the ACP discount and ATT told me I would lose it if I switch and upgrade to fiber. Are you calling ATT liars ? Should I have them contact you so you can straighten them out ?

The information provided is copied from the link.

An ATT rep told me something very similar. If I attempt to add the ACP benefit to my existing bundle with ATT, then ATT will remove the current ATT discounts on my bundle.
