Wifi installation

Brand new house and internet is installed inside but they could not find meter outside. Now the wire has been buried outside but no one is scheduled to connect to the inside?  Been 3.5 weeks without internet and told now it will be another 2 weeks to have internet. How can we be expected to wait over 5 weeks. What is next step and how can I can I be assured it will happen?
