Why is my upload speed 50x faster than my download speed
I upgraded my internet to internet 50 (from internet 24). The tech came and installed fiber and i tested my speed on my phone, laptop, and television and i get speeds of 1-5mbps download and 50-59mbps upload. i get 50mbps download with my xbox one on ethernet and wifi but when i connect my ethernet to my computer or tv i get 1-6mbps download and 50mbps upload? Why? and i've tested with multiple websites because i keep buffering or getting low quality video. i upgraded 2 weeks ago. I also see my ip address is located in CA instead of TX.
ACTUALLY I started watching youtube and netflix on my xbox and i BUFFER! the xbox is connected to ethernet. UM so i guess i basically downgraded lol. I won't be renewing after a year because thats how long the contract is.
Don't get att if you are located in north texas. Google fiber is coming soon to dallas, also.
OH YEA i will mention my internet has never been consistent for the past 10 years i/my family have been with att, but my upload speeds did improve so they are consistent 34mbps-59mbps. Can't say the same thing with downloads
