Use existing distirbution panel in house for new UVERSE installation?
I'm going to get U-VERSE in Orlando for internet into my home. I have checked my specific address and know it to be available. I've read that for fiber, the installers will want the modem set up in the home as close to possible to the main electrical box. I have an existing distribution panel in a closet in my office (not so close to main electrical box) and I'd like for the modem to be in the same place. House is wired with coax and with CAT V.

Hello @JBurns92,
Thank you for reaching out on the forums, we're here to help! It is actually the NID that will be setup close to the main electrical box. The residential gateway/modem can be installed in the distribution panel with no problems. When your installation technician arrives on install day he will be able to better address your concerns. Welcome to the AT&T family!
