underground wireless internet service

We are remodeling our home and need underground wireless internet service. Before the remodel began, we had overhead wireless internet and phone service. Who do we contact to make this happen? We are in CA.

You would need to call 800.288.2020 for a special request tech dispatch on demand ($149).

The tech can perform a site survey creating a work order for local contractor to install, burial a new drop (cost per foot, plus any boring such as street, alley, driveway, sidewalk, patio, etc. Without knowing details budget another $1000. The contractor charges ATT who will then charge you.

Once cable buried another tech dispatch will be required to make connections from aerial to burial wiring and to residence.

Check with your local codes, some areas of California require the wiring to be in a conduit… this is at your expense… need to place and bury conduit with pull string before new wiring can be placed. As your remodeling your electrical contractor should be aware of what is required. Perhaps the wiring can be placed in the same trench used for power but placed more shallow. Again your electrician should be able to answer these questions.

It’s also not a quick process. Permits can take months to years. Easements must change planning approved then engineering. I’d say a minimum of 18 months.
