Property Damage during Internet Installation...endless agony
Hello folks,
During internet installation(01/03/2022) the AT&T technician damaged the sewer line from main rest room in the garage wall and because of which Sewage water is leaking from the garage wall (even out side as well) when we use the restroom..The technician DIDNOT check if there are any pipes in the wall before making a hole during the installation…. I have been on endless calls with AT&T yesterday and with several departments. No one knows who is going to fix it. One department transfers to other department .. one says sedgwick will call me .. but no one knows the correct number ..one technician created a claim, but Sedgwick automated message says it has to end with -01.. the claim number given by the technician doesn’t end with -01(Starts with 2201000xxx)..so not sure of the process..
Do I need to call a plumber and get it fixed by myself? Or will AT&T send a plumber ..so I am hoping you guys can answer my question or at least list out the correct number or contact who can help me .. not sure which department will take the responsibility..one agent says risk management department.. another says repair department..another says Sedgwick.. I have been on endless calls with them wasting my time(called several at&t numbers)..I have to take leave from my office to go through this painful process and also loss of pay .. and on top of that I have to go through this agonizing process and with out a clear answer...I don’t have family restroom at home.. I don’t know if I have to book a hotel till this leakage is fixed..AT&T reps says I cannot book a hotel...during this pandemic I have to take my kids to the Walmart(close by my home) for restrooms...
They agents roam around the house for the getting signed up for the service and when there is an issue after signing up...no one responds ...I think I have made a huge mistake by moving from Spectrum to AT&T....I was wondering If this kind of damage has happened to any AT&T executives (top management)?

Property damages are handled by Sedgwick. Latest numbers and info are as follows:
Claims Management Services - 855-365-4976
Option 1 - Check on existing claim
Option 2 - Speak to AT&T CC for service related issues
Option 3 - Start a new property damage claim

Hello skeeterintexas,
Thanks for your quick reply..
I have called Sedgwick several times yesterday...no one answers..left Voice Message as well...when choosing option 1 ... the automated message says the claim has to end with -01..however the claim given by at&t rep starts with 2201000xxx...(doesn't end with -01)...No one cares...endless calls with different departments transferring from one to another...

get it fixed yourself . at&t wont send a plumber, what they will do is reimburse you for damages once sedgewick completes their investigation.

When Sedgwick doesn’t respond for MONTHS and the damage is causing STRESS since it has been multiple issues and ongoing issues for 6 months from the installation of the new cable it’s time to contact attorney!
