Our fiber line is detached

We were replacing the siding on the side our house and the grey box came off the house and the fiber wire inside broke. We pulled out the green connector to try and take out that wire and replace it with the extra that is outside. We can’t figure out how the wire is threaded onto the inside connector. A tech can’t come out until Tuesday and I work from home! My husband can wire a whole house, so any advice on what we need is greatly appreciated.
