Noone Showed Up

I setup an appointment time between 12 and 3 for Internet installation which I paid 90 some-odd dollars for and not only did I not receive any kind of call warning me of delay or scheduling issues, but after they didn't show up at all, a half hour after the end of the window they were supposed to do the job in and after I had already returned to work, I received the call asking me if anyone had shown up. They didn't even know. Now after having to take the full day off of work and losing twice the cost of installation in pay alone, I returned home because "they'd be here in 15 to 20 minutes," they again didn't show up and I was forced to call them to find out there would be another 20 minute delay. This is incredibly unprofessional and costly to any normal person with a job. Truly an absurd way to treat a new customer and not a way to get repeat business.

Edit: so ultimately my questions are
1) Does at&t do anything to remedy such situations? and if not;
2) Why did I switch from time warner?
