Grandview is a city located in Johnson County Texas. With a 2020 population of 1,943, it is the 704th largest city in Texas and the 11108thlargest city in the United States. Grandview is currently growing at a rate of 1.67% annually but its population has decreased by -5.27% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 2,051 in 2020. Spanning over 2 miles, Grandview has a population density of 1,073people per square mile.

You should start with the main telco provider for the area … Windstream (88% coverage) while ATT is at 4% coverage.

Windstream 1,000 Mbps Fiber 8s 88.1%
Pathway Communications 1,000 Mbps Fiber 8s 27.0%
United Cooperative Services 1,000 Mbps Fiber 8s 21.8%
T-Mobile 5G Home Internet 182 Mbps 5G Internet 45s 6.0%
Viasat Internet 100 Mbps Satellite 1m 21s 100.0%
Rise Broadband 100 Mbps Fixed Wireless 1m 21s 99.2%
AT&T Internet 100 Mbps IPBB 1m 21s 4.0%

HughesNet

25 Mbps Satellite 5m 27s

I have already contacted Windstream.

I need to contact at&t about the possibility they could provide our 93 families with internet.  So, if anyone has an email or number for this inquiry I would appreciate it Thanks

@ADV69

Area code 76050

That would be Zip Code for location. Area code is part of your phone number.

Windstream (88% coverage) while ATT is at 4% coverage.

That likely means you have little chance with AT&T. However, they do have a request process to give it a shot.

Have you tried contacting the other two fiber providers, Pathway and United Cooperative?

It is rare for ATT to build outside their footprint, meaning the 4% that has ATT IPBB is the most likely to receive upgrade to fiber. Is ATT your current telco provider or Windstream?

From planning to activation can be 2+ years, ATT current fiber buildout is to add 10+ million fiber addresses over next 3 years out of estimate 40 million addresses within footprint. New construction residential areas are the only ones with any relative guarantee to be fiber. Next is existing FTTN addresses currently able to receive internet 25 to internet 100.

However the company earlier this year announced a fiber buildout in a non ATT state…

https://about.att.com/story/2022/fiber-expansion-mesa.html

Mesa is one of the largest and fastest growing cities in America, so AT&T sees a great opportunity to deliver better access to education, jobs, healthcare and more through the power of fiber connectivity. AT&T expects to offer speeds of up to 5-Gigs of fiber-based broadband to more than 100,000 homes in and around the Mesa area. AT&T’s previously provided capital investment guidance is unchanged.

“In an increasingly virtual world, access to high-speed internet is a key to success for individuals, families and business owners,” said John Giles, Mayor of Mesa. “We welcome AT&T to Mesa as their team delivers fiber connectivity, ultimately creating better access to education, jobs and healthcare for our great city.”

AT&T also has a long and productive business relationship with Corning Incorporated, its largest fiber manufacturing supplier. Corning’s recent investment in a new optical cable manufacturing facility in the Mesa area will help produce the fiber-optic cable needed to help millions of Americans connect to new opportunities and further close the digital divide.

We're here to help, @ADV69!

Thanks to @my thoughts and @Juniper for your helpful insights.

We're continually expanding our fiber footprint to more households every day. If you’d like to check if service is available to you now or to sign up for a notification if it does become available in the future, please visit att.com/NotifyMe.

We'll send you a notification via your preferred method as soon as AT&T Fiber becomes available to you.

Please keep in mind that if your house was just built, there is a chance line or equipment has not been set up. Unfortunately adding these things does not happen overnight and takes anywhere from a few weeks to years.

There's a lot that goes into servicing an area like, permits requests, engineers creating blueprints, adding the lines, and other equipment. There is a lot that goes into it, so you can begin to understand why it may not be available right away.

Learn more about AT&T availability and why internet may not be available at this time.

Please feel free to reach back out if you need help in the future. Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums!
