New Apartment self install fiber. Broadband light is red cant connect to app.

As the title says I just moved into this apartment a few weeks ago and tried setting up the internet today. ONT has green power and PON lights, and yellow data light. The router has a green power light and a blinking red broadband light.

The app just says 12 minutes remaining for a while and then throws an error.

Not really sure where to go from here and the support line is backed up all day. Maybe I have faulty equipment? I have tried different ethernet cables, power cycles, and resets with no success

The amber data LED is normal.  A green PON LED is normal.  You connected the Gateway from the red port on the Gateway to the Ethernet jack on the ONT?

Yup. If I try to connect on my phone or computer it says "We cant see your DSL signal NAD-3304D"

I mean maybe there is an outage, but I feel like I would have heard about it.

Unless there was a note with your equipment saying "don't connect the Gateway prior to XXX" and it's before XXX, then you'll likely have to call.

Let's help with your internet service, @tora117!

So that we can dig a little deeper into why your broadband light is red, we'll need to speak privately. Check the Direct Message inbox in the top right corner of your screen. We'll be sending you a DM shortly.

In the meantime, check out our article on gateway status lights to learn more about what they mean. Be sure to choose your current modem/gateway model in the drop-down menu on that page for the most accurate information.

We look forward to speaking with you!
