my HP laptop keeps disconnecting from my New Fiber WIFI
Hi , After installing my New Fiber service , i have notice a consistent issue with my HP Laptop keeps disconnecting for a second and connecting back... This is consistent problem and annoying as it impacts reliability ?
Any suggestions ??

We'd be glad to offer you some suggestions on how to improve your laptop's Wi-Fi connection, Damous2022.
Let's start with some basic things to consider when you run into Wi-Fi disconnections:
We also suggest restarting your gateway to refresh and re-establish the network connection. Just unplug the power connection behind the gateway for ~15 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for the Broadband light to turn green.
If your laptop still loses it's Wi-Fi connection, run a speed test to determine if the problem is with your wireless environment, or your laptop's connection. Get more information about this in section 2 of our Wi-Fi 101 troubleshooting guide.
One more thing to keep in mind is that Wi-Fi speeds don't just depend on the Wi-Fi technology in your gateway, but also your device. Older devices use older Wi-Fi technology, which run at slower speeds, so it's possible that your laptop can't handle the faster speeds of Fiber Internet and drops the connection. Very strange , Only one Laptop seems to suffer this WIFI disconnect After Fiber Installations.
Facts:
This Laptop is New and in great Shape.
This Laptop was working Excellent with no Wifi Disconnect for the Past 9 Months , until this Past week when we upgraded to Fiber.
I did all Basic 101 Troubleshooting and nothing helped. The disconnect happens random and connect back in its Own .

@Damous2022 did you change gateways when you upgraded to fiber? What gateway did you have before? Have you left band steering enabled? Do you know how to disable band steering so you can test with it off?
