Looking for Fiber Internet at my location
AT&T has fiber hubs at the corner of a couple streets near my house (actually about 1000 feet from my house), but never offer it to me. I got a number to someone at the engineering department and they said they opened a request to investigate and that an engineer would contact in a few days. That was over 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I no longer have that number. So does anybody have a contact number for the fiber engineering department?

Nope, can take 4 to 5 weeks to have an address validation for service.
Bit there is a clue, when checking your immediate neighbors to left and right of you on same side of street, can they order fiber service?
If not, do not expect you will be able to either.
The address validation is best used when immediate neighbors have fiber service and you do not.
1000 feet away is about 2/10 of a mile.
In most higher density neighborhoods with lot widths of of 50 to 100 feet means your looking at 1.5 blocks away with standard city block being about 660 feet.
” In Chicago, a typical city block is 330 by 660 feet (100 m × 200 m), meaning that 16 east-west blocks or 8 north-south blocks measure one mile, which has been adopted by other US cities.”

That's the issue. I am not in a dense neighborhood. I have 2.25 acres, the neighbor next to me has 8, then 10 next to him and 40 next to them. The hub is across from the house with 40 acres. So, nobody has it on this side of the street.

We're happy to see that you're interested in AT&T Fiber, Whitemd2.
A key thing to keep in mind is that AT&T Internet is a distance-dependent service. If you're too far away from the equipment, service may not be available. This would explain why your side of the street doesn't have service.
However, we are continually expanding our fiber footprint to more households every day. If you’d like to check if service is available to you now or to sign up for a notification if it does become available in the future, please visit att.com/NotifyMe. We will send you a notification via your preferred method as soon as AT&T Fiber becomes available to you.
If you have any other questions or concerns, we'll be here. Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.
