Issues with Fiber installation?

I had an appointment setup to get AT&T fiber.

there are other people on my street who also have AT&T. The employee who came to my house told me there was an issue with “splitter 1” and that they would need to have the issue fixed.

Here is the email I received:

“Hello,

We will unable to install your Internet services today, due to light issues at the pfp, I have already created an Srn ticket to construction for the issue to be resolved, we are unable to provide you with an ETA, but will will take care of it as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

This is is a huge issue as I work from home and NEED internet to work.the fact that there is no ETA is very very bad for me.

Has anyone else experienced something like this. If so, how long did it take to get resolved?

I would hate to go with another company but I can’t deal with this.

The primary flexibility point (pfp) is a distribution center for your neighborhood. From there, the light signal is distributed to small fiber terminals scattered through the area, each serving a handful of accounts. A problem at a pfp should be a priority for the construction crew, so I wouldn't expect it to drag out long. Of course, I don't know the effect that the pandemic is having on construction crews.

ATT contractor had bored line for ATT fiber and hit our sewer line.  We had to pay a plumber to locate line and a service call just to say the city had to fix where ATT contractor hit our line.  The cost shouldn't be my responsibility for my plumber.  How do I get reimbursed for my out of pocket cost caused by your contractor?

We apologize for any inconveniences and we're happy to point you in the right direction, @rholland34.

Here is more information on AT&T property claims for damages. Scroll down to the file a new claim section, you will need the location and pictures for this. Once you have this information together, call the Claim Center at 855-365-4976 to file a new claim.

Let us know if this helps and thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums Team.

@rholland34   You dug up a 2 yr old thread that had nothing to do with your problem.  If you need to post more about your issue, please create a new post of your own.  Thanks!
