Is it possible for a two-ONT fiber install in house?

I currently have ATT gigabit fiber from street pole with ONT and router in room closest to front yard. Although I've got 3 (ATT purchased) range extenders, the speed in back room is very bad and that's where my wife's office is.

Is it possible to have another fiber run that goes to back of house and another ONT and router back in her office and keep the existing install as-is? (Meaning, if the only ONT and router is in rear of house, now the front will be bad - basically just reversed)

Is the standard BWG210 with the 3 extenders comparable in wifi "reach" to a new Nighthawk or other bigger/faster wifi router?

Hi, @Mikeyboy91, we're happy to help you with your Internet speed!

We can't add a 2nd ONT to your home, but we'll do our best to help you boost the speed for in wife's office.

We'd like for you to read through our article on Optimizing Internet Speed to see what in-home adjustments you can make to improve the connection.

We also need the following details about the speeds you're getting so we can provide thorough troubleshooting options:

  • What speed tier are you on?
  • What speeds are you getting in the office?

We'll be awaiting your response!

Willing to make your home into a duplex?

Contact local government for zoning change and approval

Register the new created address with the USPS

Call for an address validation case be created for new address

Hope there is additional fiber port available at local terminal to support an additional address.

Or call an electrician or other low voltage company to install an ethernet cable from your current gateway location to the office in the back of the house.

Or purchase a set of plug links to  use the house electrical wiring to provide connection in back part of house. Note requires direct connection to ac outlet, cannot use outlet strip with multiple connections at either location.

The above link provides some reviews of current units to consider.
