Internet - new install

Called and made service request for new install - internet service. Set up appointment on Tuesday (8 to noon). No one showed. Called customer rep. Told that we are still on schedule. By 3 pm, no one shows. Called again, was told they could not make it on this date and re-scheduled for Thursday ( today) between 8 and 12 noon. No show. Now cannot get anyone to answer or respond. How do we do business with AT&T or establish new install. Do y’all not want the business.?

Hey @Satwood1, we understand multiple missed appointments can be frustrating.

We suggest reaching out to customer service at 800-288-2020. They'll be able to better assist with installation appointments.

We hope this helps.

Thanks for reaching out on the AT&T Community Forums!

Did that. Talked to 10 people today, 2 of them were supervisors. Not one person within the AT&T organization could provide an answer in regard to when the installers would show up or even knew when it would happen. I guess you just open an account and sometime in the future, who knows when, AT&T sure doesn’t, you get lucky and someone will show up.

Three of the customer service reps, positively said the install would happen today and they would call back to check. It’s 7:15 p.m., and no call back or install. This is the second day of sitting here waiting on an install for internet service AT&T said they could and would happen.

Probably one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. Every employee who had a part in this issue should be reprimanded or terminated.

Our market installs are (2) windows for arrival 8-10, 10-12, 12-2, 2-4 with most installs 1 to 2 weeks out at minimum...

(4) windows are repairs 8-12, 12-4, 4-8

In my humble opinion, someone is trying to force in an install in a repair time slot. Most techs are working 9-10 hour days minimum 6 days per week. They are dispatching on 4 to 5 jobs per day, I myself did (4) installs today in 11 hours, start day at garage, end day at the garage.

Nope. No one forcing an install - just your company saying they can do the install within a time frame candy never showing up or calling. Question? - Why give a customer an install time window to begin with, if, based on your experience, y’all are overworked and cannot make the schedule d time slot. Our time as a customer is equal as important. Two days off of work for incompetence. If the scheduled time slot is a variable, then tell the customer that. Just my humble opinion.
