Hey KWickey,
We'd will happy to help you with that.

In order to hook up your computer, modem and tv, you can follow the below-mentioned steps

  1. Insert the Ethernet cable into one of the "Out" ports on the cable modem.
  2. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the "Internet In" port on the back of the television.
  3. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the computer.
  4. Use a USB Ethernet adapter if the computer does not have an Ethernet port.
  5. Power on the TV and the computer modem, then wait for all the lights on the modem to stop.
  6. Press the "Input" option and select the "Internet" option. This turns on the Internet mode.
  7. Check both the devices to see if the internet is working.

Let us know if this helps!

I kept Xfinity tv cable service but have AT&T fiber optics. When I try to use the Xfinity remote control voice to access YouTube, I get the message Xfinity internet service is needed.  How do I access YouTube and other Apps via the Xfinity remote control/cable with the Att fiber optics being the internet service?

Hello @Bigbib,

Thank you for reaching out to us! Let's point you in the direction.

We understand that you are facing difficulties accessing YouTube with your Xfinity remote control. Please note we need to have Xfinity Internet services to use the YouTube app on X1 TV box. We recommend that you contact to Xfinity support for more information.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forum.
