How to connect BGW320 to old ONT
Received my self installation kit. The fiber cable and SFP were not included. However, my home has an old ONT, so I can’t use those items anyway. There are no instructions for how to connect the new gateway to an old ONT. Please help!

Ahh, yep, the old "is it plugged in?" trick!
Yes, it takes an AC/DC power supply, 12v 2A. Some install kits have been including two power supplies, one for the gateway and one for the ONT. Check to make sure you didn't get two.
Any power supply that meets those specs and has a plug that fits in the ONT will work, nothing special about it.

You connect the BGW320 to an ONT by plugging an Ethernet cable into the ONT and the other end into the ONT port (Red) on the BGW.
I take it you moved into a place where the previous tenant had fiber?

Yes, that is exactly the case. I have tried that and it is not working. I’m wondering if there needs to be power going to the ONT from the outlet? There is no power cord, but it looks like it needs a power source??

If you haven’t got your service up and running, call 800-288-2020. Say internet, failed self install to schedule a tech visit. Should be no charge.

As of this date (August 2022), is it true that new AT&T fiber installations are using a combined ONT/gateway?
