How do you get wires buried

It has been over a month since we had service installed. How long does it take for someone to come out and bury the lines from date of install. We moved in February 27th and our cable wire is still not buried Please respond so we can get this taken care of as soon as possible. It is crossing over our new neighbors driveway. Not a good situation. Thanks

today was the 3rd day in a row that we have tried calling your 800 number. Today we were on hold for an hour. We called spectrum and they had someone out in 2 days to bury our cable wire.

Good that you got it buried because I don't think ATT would have buried a Spectrum cable.

Remember EVERYTHING is in slow motion now including waiting hours to speak to someone. Just be patient as it's the price we are paying for saving 1000s of lives from Covid-19. It's worth it.

Hi cayrealestate, we can help you get that exposed wire buried!

Here are the steps to report unburied cables, exposed wires, or downed lines:

Call us any time at 800-288-2020.

  • Have AT&T service? Provide your account info and say, “Line is down.”
  • Don’t have AT&T service? Say "No account." When asked if you want to order new service, say "No." Then, to let us know why you're calling, say “Line is down.”

Once the ticket has been created, you can follow up with our Buried Wire Center at 800-924-9420 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. (EDT).

Good luck and thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums!
