How do I get ATT Fiber in my area?

A small portion of my neighborhood has ATT Fiber but the majority does not.  Myself and a large percentage of my neighbors would switch to ATT from Cox if we had the option of Fiber.  What can we do to get it installed?   I've even spoken to many of them and we would be willing to sign contracts for a couple years if we could get Fiber.

That small portion of neighborhood with fiber, a new addition to the subdivision? New construction areas should be fiber, with remaining area on existing service.

ATT 4 year fiber expansion ended in 2019 reaching over 14 million addresses. Until ATT announces a phase 2 expansion, hopefully for similar time and reach of addresses... example 2021 to end 2024 for 12.5+ million addresses would bring total addresses to over 26 million or about 1/3 of all addresses within ATT 21 state footprint.

IF this happens, your area may or may not be upgraded... construction activity on your street would be the clue that fiber might be available 6 to 9 months after construction starts depending on the size of the proposed addresses. PFP, where the fiber spreads into the neighborhood can be for max 288, 432 or 864 addresses. Naturally the more addresses being provided will result in longer wait time before service can be ordered.

Look for possible fiber expansion announcement with ATT financial report for 2020 scheduled for end of January (27?) 2021.
