Gateway won't connect

Light flashes white for a few minutes then flashes rapid green then back to flashing white then back to flashing green repeatedly. Tech appointment schedule but over a week out. Servive outage in area supposedly fixed today after being out for 2 days.

Was working fine until we had an outage in the area. Now rapid green flashing. Outage was supposedly fixed but just got a notice of outage in area again.

But it is definitely the waiting for activation light. Support says a tech has to come out. Unfortunately have to wait over a week for a tech appointment. First problems we have ever had with service.

We can give you troubleshooting options to try on your gateway while you wait for your service appointment, Erwills1.

You can try restarting and factory resetting your gateway. Here are the steps to restart:

  • Unplug the power connection behind the gateway for ~15 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and wait for the broadband light to turn green.

Here are the steps to factory reset:

  • Locate the small red button & pinhole on the lower rear of the gateway
  • Depress for ~15 seconds.

Also, the gateway status light chart that my thoughts provided should give you a good idea as to why the gateway is acting up.

Be sure to let us know how your service call went -- if you need further assistance, we'll be here.

It wouldn’t hurt to turn your ONT off, wait a minute and then turn it in again. if it’s an external ONT.
