Fiber Self Install Option
I recently ordered Fiber 300 to be installed in my new apartment. The apartment building is less than 2 years old and says that ATT is the only provider for the building. I was not given the option to self-install, despite it seeming likely that Fiber is already installed in the building. Is there a way to find out if that is an option without sitting on hold with support?

If you're not being given the option, then it probably isn't an option. If no one has had Fiber internet in your apartment before you, then it probably hasn't been wired (or fibered) properly yet. Even if someone had it before you, there may be a problem (outdated or missing/unresponsive ONT) requiring a tech to look around.

The only way you get offered a self-install option is if a previous tenant have AT&T previously installed. Even with a self-install option it can still fail.
The previous owner may have taken the power supply for the ONT or even taken the ONT from the network panel that clearly says property of AT&T. Do you have an install date?

Fiber requires an ONT already installed in order to perform a self install...
If your the first person to order fiber for the unit requires a tech installation to install the ONT... if the previous occupant had ATT fiber service there should be an ONT in place and the system would allow for a self install.
In most newer apartment / condo complexes I would expect a wiring panel is installed, may be in a closet (hall or bedroom) or in the laundry area... open the panel and see if you can locate the fiber, and an ONT...
Example... on 010 ONT installed in wiring panel
May also be fiber behind a wall plate, normally in Living Room... not to a wiring closet...

@dave006 I have an install date of next Tuesday, 6/15.
@my thoughts, Unfortunately, I have not moved in yet so no way to look around.

With ATT Fiber is the Gateway the same as a modem?

What is the box that is on the wall in the pictures above?
If my home previously had ATT Fiber can I do a self install for ATT Fiber?
What would I receive in the kit and have to do to get it running?

That box is an 010 model ONT. Yes, if you had one, you might be offered self installation. You'd be shipped a gateway to connect to it.
If a new install is necessary, you probably won't get a separate ONT, but a new BGW 320 gateway that has a ONT built in.
