Fiber runs under a lot I am considering
I am considering to purchase a 5 acre lot in a rural neighborhood (although it is a small subdivision with underground utilities ran etc). The lot shows an easment running through it for AT&T fiber optic cable. The only known internet service providers in the area are Windstream DSL and satellite.
Since the AT&T fiber optic cable literally runs under the property, could I pay or request internet service through AT&T?

Have you checked any of the addresses of exiting houses to see if AT&T Fiber service was actually available?

An easement for AT&T Fiber may just be for a nearby commercial Fiber installation (Government, School, or Commercial area), back-haul from an AT&T Cellular tower or even AT&T Fiber trunk connections just passing through your potential lot.
If no addresses within the community are eligible for residential AT&T Fiber there is Zero chance that you will be able to get AT&T Fiber service from this easement or via any other AT&T offering.
