Fiber installation cut underground dog fence

I recently switched to AT&T Fiber, against my better judgment. The install went well and then lost service. The technician came out the next day and was outstanding! THEN...I spent a while on the phone and chat trying to make sure that the contractor coming to bury the line would contact me before the digging, because I have an underground electric dog fence. The next call I got was from my son saying they had cut the line, and it was cut in two places. It took me two days of digging and splicing to repair the fence. Obviously the message did not get delivered.

We're here to assist with your fence being cut, @musicflyr!

If you need to file a new damage claim, have the following information available:

  • Location – The physical address or GPS coordinates for the location where damage occurred.
  • Photos – Include close-ups and wide views of the area damaged. If possible, include photos of the person, vehicle, or equipment that caused the damage. Photos can be from cameras, cell phones, or other devices.

Once you have the information together, call the Damage Claim Center at 1-800-246-8464. They're available 8am - 4:30pm CST Once the administrator receives the information, they will assign it to a claims examiner. The examiner will generally contact you within 3-5 business days to discuss the report and get additional information.

Don't hesitate to reach back out if you ever need our assistance again. Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums!

The installers cut my invisible fence when I was on vacation this week. I finally got through to the right department. He told me ATT was not responsible for the damage because they were digging in the easement and the wire shouldn’t have been there or should have been marked. They cut it in the summer install and did repair it same day but I was home to alert them.
He did submit a damage claim so I’ll see what happens.

Sorry to hear about this, there is a team called Burried wire center which takes care of such issues, you may contact them for further issues, the previous post has all the info however if you are still facing issues please call BWC

The BWC isn't going to help either situation.  I don't see any issues regarding the AT&T fiber line and that's where their responsibility ends.

811 marks utilities,  not invisible fences or sprinklers... you are responsible for marking the these areas, generally using white paint or flags that you purchase.
