Fiber Installation Appointment Guarantee

My fiber install was rescheduled due to technician no-show. Can AT&T guarantee the same thing will not happen again? There are many frustrated complaints in this forum about multiple rescheduling.

Is there a direct line to my local AT&T install group instead of the 800-288-2020 (where I get an off-shore group & they just read me scripted messages) to escalate the issue when it happens?

Short answer to both questions:  No and No

That's why you see all the horror stories about missed/cancelled/postponed appointments.  The flawed system they have in place is all there is.

You can try asking for the first appointment of the day.  But even that's no guarantee when there are more appointments scheduled than techs show up to claim them that day.

"Where's My Tech?" doesn't help for fiber install; it's the same as calling the 1-800-288-2020 number. Going round in circles.
