Unfortunately there is no publicly available timeline on fiber, or if fiber is planned for an area. But you can sign up to be notified upon availability, or even if you want to know if there are opportunities to help bring to your neighborhood.

In addition to the answer above, you should know that AT&T isn't concentrating on fiber expansion in existing neighborhoods any more. Most new fiber is dedicated to 5G towers, government & emergency services and new housing developments. So, there's no hold up, probably just no plans to expand into your area anytime soon.

Sounds like the customer isn't who they care about then. I don't give a (Edited per community guidelines) about 5g. Why is it so difficult to put the customers first? This is why I haven't switched to AT&T. They brag about having something nice, but then retract it right after dangling it out there. Might as well slap pepe's face beside every offer if you're just going to be disingenuous trolls.

When is the internet outage going to be fixed in my area?

@Thutton

This thread is about when will Fiber be rolled out to an area, not technical issues.

If you have an outage, then contact AT&T. This is a public forum of other customers so we don't have access to your account or know what your area is.

Hey, @Thutton

While @Juniper is correct and we do want to keep threads relative, we will be happy to address your concern.

You can keep up to date with outages affecting your area by checking your online account.

However, with your zip code, we can check the status of the outage.  You may also be able to sign up for alerts when it has been resolved.

We assure you, we work as quickly as possible to resolve outages when they occur.

Let us know if you have any additional concerns,

Hi, I'm a AT&T investor and customer in Shreveport, Louisiana. I recent bought a nice home in a fairly new neighborhood here. The only internet service AT&T offers out here is DSL if you can believe it? I guess because the utilities are buried in the ground and only phone lines were put in at the time. AT&T Fiber is available in Shreveport but it hasn't reached here and no one knows how long it will take? Is there a way to get an email or letter to the officials in charge of the planning and implementation of the Fiber services here to ask for some priority consideration due to the antiquated DSL that AT&T stopped utilizing because it's so slow?

Thanks

@dstran while things may change, will need to wait on a company announcement before so....

From January 2020 the following was the company outline for next 3 years (2020-end 2022) after having spent 4 years (2016-late 2019) deploying fiber to over 14 million addresses within the 21 state footprint.

https://www.telecompetitor.com/att-plan-is-to-have-7-million-att-ftth-subscribers-by-2022/

xDSL UVERSE of either ADSL2+ (estimate 20 million addresses best speed of 18 or less depending on copper loop length) and VDSL FTTN or Fiber To The Node with speeds of 100, 75, 50, 25 depending on copper loop after the fiber VRAD with 27 million addresses are still the main ATT internet for most addresses (47 million). Additional about 15 million addresses only have cellular internet available with 1.1 million being FIXED WIRELESS within select areas of 18 states the other 14 million being HOMEBASE HOTSPOT.
