Fiber in my area anytime soon?

Hi there,

I am currently with spectrum for my internet provider, but I pay way too much for bad quality service. I really want to be with ATT fiber as some neighborhoods in my areas have it except my area. I was wondering is there a way I can see when ATT is expected to have fiber available in my area? Or to possibly have it requested?

AT&T doesn’t share future services with the public or front line employees.

AT&T doesn't disclose their plans for fiber, it's a very closely held bit of info that even most employees aren't privy to.  About the only "requests" they take are for  bigger HOAs or MDUs.  The places it exists often defy logic as to why there and not, oh, like across the street.  About all you can do is see what the fastest speed they offer your current address as that gives us a clue as to how at least part of the pathway is constructed.  But even then, that probably only eliminates the Never possibility, it doesn't mean you're in line for x number of months or years.

Next three years will add about 10 million residential fiber addresses out of estimated 40 million hardwired addresses within 21 state footprint.

This means have about 25% chance will have fibber by start 2026.

To have better odds the most likely is new construction subdivision or MDU complexes. Next is if your current address has ATT internet 25 to 100 option.

The important point is not all addresses will receive the service but 50% of hardwired addresses will have fiber by 2025. Currently 20 million, adding 3 million per year.
