Failed to show up for Installation

Hello,

What is the best way to escalate a complaint and actually get results? We were supposed to have internet installed a month ago. And AT&T now has missed not one or two but THREE appointment windows. And we were the ones who had to call them.

By the time I had to reschedule for a technician for the fourth time and was going to be put on “high priority” for the third time I had told them they needed to be a little more clear to me how I wasn’t going to keep getting skipped and compensation since it’s now a full month I’m having two services! Because I can’t cancel my old service until I receive internet and they told me to get tv a week before my internet installation to make sure I was happy with the speed in comparison. Fine that makes sense, but now since ATT missed theee appointments I’m stuck paying two bills this month. On the phone ATT said they would have no problem compensating but I would have to wait until my internet was set up and call back. WHAT?! That means nothing.

Thank you in advance for help.

My husband and I just moved to Woodland, CA and we are having the same problem. First, we contract the service by phone on June 25th. The modem should be in our apartment on June 30th but it arrived 3 days late. However, it didn't work. Second, after spoke with more than 5 representatives by phone on the following days, they scheduled a tech visit for today (1 week after the modem arrived) but nobody showed up. They cannot see the scheduled appointment in their system, but we can see on our app. Today, we spent more than 4h talking with different representatives and nothing changed. Finally, they scheduled a new tech visit for tomorrow (7/8/2020). And believe or not (it is not a joke!), today we received the first bill for the internet service from AT&T!! It has been very frustrating. If nobody shows up tomorrow, we would probably cancel this service because it is unacceptable.

I am having the same problem.  A tech came out on Tuesday and fixed a problem.  On Thursday our service went out andd a tech was supposed to come out on Friday.  I left work early but no one ever showed up.  We at first were told it was our fault.  A tech was supposed to come out on Saturday between 2-4.  I called multiple times and was promised our situation was elevated and a tech would arrive by 8pm but no one showed.  Now we wait until Monday.  What a joke!

I had the same issue. Very frustrating and customer service does nothing about it. I have to use vacation time when I take off to meet the technician. For them to not show is ridiculous. AT&T should reimburse me my hourly wage!

Same issue here.  No one seems to be able to help me reach & check with local team.  They were only able to read from the script & offer to re-schedule again.

I recommend everyone who is frustrated by AT&T technician no-shows file a FCC complaint:

https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us

AT&T will reach out to you within days of your filing a complaint.  They need this to realize it's much easier if they just keep their promise and show up to their appointments.  Either they show up, or they have to deal with the consequences and hassle of responding to complaints.
