Deep Hole/dead grass in Yard from fiber installation

Who would I contact regarding a huge hole in my yard/dead grass from where my yard was dug up to install fiber? Additionally, I'd like to know why my yard was dug up since AT&T isn't my cable or internet provider?

We apologize for any inconvenience and are here to help, @sherndon.

Here is more information on AT&T property claims for damages. Scroll down to the file a new claim section, you will need the location and pictures for this. Once you have this information together, call the Claim Center at 855-365-4976 to file a new claim.

Let us know if this helps and thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums Team.

They dug in the yard because it was in the utility easement.

If you are unsure (and it would be rare for them to work OUTSIDE the utility easement), call you local authorities to verify WHERE the utility easement is.

Their actions caused damage in my yard; regardless of the utility easement.

A crew should come back and replace any dirt or grass.

How long ago was the work in your yard done?  Days?  Weeks?  Months?

AT&T contractor cut my spectrum internet and damaged my yard. They filled in driveway drain and damaged my yard. Worst part they knew they had cut it. A neighbor was out side saw one worker call over another worker they laughed. He asked what happened the Forman said they think the new guy cut someone’s cable. That was Friday at 9:17. I  didn’t find out until I got home from work. So no internet till Monday. They need to fix my internet and yard.

We'll do all we can to repair your yard and Internet service, @MJJ898.

As Elmi mentioned to the original poster, sherndon, you'll need to file a claim with our property damage team to get started. Just give them a call at 855-365-4976.
