Date they are installing fiber optic cable in my neighborhood
I came home to find that the utilities were marked in our neighborhood and that the utilities for me and my neighbor were marked between our houses.
One of my neighbors said that she found out that AT&T will be laying fiber optic cable and it runs between our houses. I need to find out when they are installing the cable because I have a hidden fence buried in my yard that I do not want ruined when they start digging.
I would like to know if I need to have it marked and if they will be paying for it to be marked. I also need to know when I need to have it marked by.

This is generic advice so your mileage may vary.
-The date. Probably no way to definitively figure that out. If your locale has a permitting website you can sometimes glean some insight there, but not guaranteed. Honestly may be next week, may be next month.
-Marking. I assume by fence you mean one of those invisible fences for pets? The utility marking service (Digsafe, 811, whatever you call it) won't catch that. My best advice, go to Lowe's/Home Depot/local hardware store and buy some landscapers flags (I do this to mark my sprinklers for the lawn crew when they aerate/re-seed) and mark it yourself. Won't guarantee they won't get it but it can't hurt to try. Take pictures of the flags planted too. If they do damage, your case is easier when filing a claim.
And that's the 3rd part. They have pretty broad leeway within the utility easement to dig but you can file a claim if they do damage, but that's a whole bunch of time and phone calls you don't want to have to put yourself through. Mark ahead and you'll reduce the chance....

My neighborhood just got marked with flags, it's been at least 3-4 weeks now and no ATT company has come yet, how long until they are going to start the underground fiber? any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
