Conduit requirements for pole to ONT
Hi,
Where should I look to find the underground conduit requirements for a single family home drop, for AT&T fiber, from the above ground pole to the house ONT?
I currently have an aerial telephone drop from the pole to my NID on the side of the house. The run is approximately 100 feet.
I want to get fiber, but before I do, I want to run underground conduit for it. I am trying to eliminate all of my aerial drops.
I was planning to run 1.5" type 1 PVC electrical conduit from the pole to the side of my house. Is this acceptable?
Can I run CATV through the same conduit as fiber? Or should I run a conduit for each?
Thanks

Hi @colinnwn,
We will be glad to help. We usually recommend a 2" pipe, but we have seen smaller. Here is a link to a document that goes over the standards. For the cat5 cable and fiber cable being in the same conduit, you can do it, but we do not suggest it. It is always best to just have the individual fiber cable going through the conduit to reduce interference.
