Cancel Installation Appointment
I ordered Internet 300 for my new apartment and chose the self-install option, but my account shows that I have an installation appointment scheduled in a few days. I won't be at the apartment yet, and I don't see an option to cancel the installation appointment with the tech.

When the tech calls you on the day scheduled will have to ask to either cancel the install or reschedule the install where likely be 1-2 weeks later as available date.

You can also call 1-800-288-2020 and have the rep reschedule your install for a future date when you will be in the Apartment.

Is the install appointment all day or for a block of time, 8-12, 1-4, etc. If all day, most likely that is to activate service to the unit but not in the unit? No need for you to be present for that all day time frame.

@browndk26
This is bad advice as your self-install kit will be mailed to your new apartment address and a package left that may disappear before you ever see it.
Is there a mail room where someone will hold your AT&T Self-install kit?

@dave006 Thanks for correcting me. I didn’t realize the self install kit would arrive the day of the install appointment.

@dave006 I set the mailing address for the self-install kit as my current address when I submitted my order, so hopefully, it should arrive here instead of my new apartment!

99.999% chance it will go to the Installed at address (your new apartment) but you might get your new bill at your current address.
You should be able to check the status of your order online and it should show where the package is going. The kit normally arrives 1-2 days before the self-install activation date.
Make sure to setup mail forwarding.
