Cable Buried Outside RoW Easement

ATT/D has buried a cable in my yard and not within the approved 15 foot utility easement.  This cable needs to be moved and the yard fixed after removal.  Additionally, any damage to the septic tank field lines within that area will be the responsibility of ATT/D.

Contact your local public works or Public Utilities department. They should handle utility easement issues.

Is it a neighbor's Fiber drop to a hand hole in your yard or is it a Fiber bundle that runs beyond your property lines?

Did you see any buried wire flags or spray paint in the Utility Easement before the burial work?

This cable goes through each yard in the neighborhood.  The problem is, the cable is buried past the approved 15' utility right-of-way easement.  The cable needs to be relocated within the utility easement then yard needs to be repaired.  Demand letter drafted and ready for mailing; very prepared for court, if required.

I would think that your local property assessor would be interested since they are the ones that decide WHERE the Utility Easement is.

Have you contacted them to see if they can intervene?
