Buried Cable Across My Front Yard

My neighbor needed their home internet set up, so a tech came out to run the cable from the box to their home. It turns out that there was an issue with the conduit running from the box to my neighbor's house, so they had to run it from a different box. Running it from this other box meant the cable would need to run through the easement in front of my house. No problem...that seems like standard practice. However, when the contractor came and buried the cable they ran it directly across my front yard instead of the easement....without asking or at least letting me know. I've attempted to call the buried cable center and no one can answer my questions or get me in touch with someone who can. Is there anything that can be done?
