AT&T Fiber

AT&T fiber infrastructure was deployed in my brand new subdivision but they tell me they do not service. I had my services located and confirmed by 811 (locate), AT&T infrastructure is here in front of my home and every other home in my neighborhood but no one can procure service from them. Even has each lot or parcel number tagged on the fiber, what do I do?

Hi @Kubamonster,

Thanks for reaching us.

We understand your concern with regard AT&T Fiber. It’s indeed perplexing when the infrastructure is right there, but the service isn’t available. Let's get the answers needed for you.

We'd recommend that you check our Fiber Coverage Map to verify if your exact location is within our service area. It’s possible that while the infrastructure is nearby, your specific address might not be officially covered yet. There can be multiple reasons why Fiber isn't available yet.

If you’d like to check if service is available to you now or to sign up for a notification if it does become available in the future, please visit http://sm.att.com/c05f231d . We will send you a notification via your preferred method as soon as AT&T Fiber becomes available to you.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us.

The above pic is a part of the deployment, do you know where the PFP is located? Installed with cards that have been activated? There is no more ongoing fiber being deployed?

A PFP can support from 60 to 864 address, the PFP would not be turned live for ordering till all addresses were completed. As you state this is a new subdivision, is there also apartment / condo complex on the side of the subdivision being built or been completed? Have you checked other addresses online to verify none have internet option?

edit… if terminals and splice cases are identified by lot or parcel number… have you tried ordering service using the lot / parcel number instead of street address?

example 116 Wabash address with terminal on the property would be label F116W if front of address R116W if rear of property and S116W if side of property. The question is what label is on the terminal in the box… the terminal is the (4) port optic sheath on top.

I'm in a rural area. Neighborhood only has 1 way in & out, no other possibility to build more then the 44 home sites already here. I tried to look on coverage map but that link will not load. Have not tried Parcel number but will.

Thank you
