AT&T fiber was installed in my neighborhood, but shows as not available at my house

AT&T fiber was installed in my neighborhood 7-8 months ago and though it is on the pole outside my house and available to my neighbors 2 doors down on either side (as well as the rest of the neighborhood), the availability tool shows it is not available at my house. It also shows as not available for the houses immediately surrounding mine (5 in total), but shows as available for the other 100+ houses in the neighborhood. I think it may be a mistake in the database, as the fiber is strung on the pole outside my house no differently than for the other neighbors where it is available. How do I confirm whether this is a database error that is preventing me from signing up for AT&T fiber internet service?

The important part is homes on your side of the street, on either side of you.

Do you see anything like the picture below on your pole?  This is a Corning OptiSheath terminal that splits the fiber to 8 separate drops (although there are other sizes).

How many cables come from that terminal down to homes near the poles?  Does it look like there are capped ports with no cable connected?

Not that model, but there is something similar (larger and boxier) around the neighborhood with the same on one of the poles closest to me. The infrastructure seems to be there, but there's no apparent way to contact the appropriate person at AT&T to explore further.

Can you post a decent picture of it?

There is a newer aerial / burial fiber terminal now being used, grayish rectangle with 4 or 8 slots…. Instead of the older style. All recent deployments in our area are using the newer style.

for a quick look found the following on YouTube

Thanks, @my thoughts I was wracking my brain trying to come up with the name.  Knew it was Esomething.  I'd heard it was up and coming but didn't remember if it was being deployed yet or not.

A device identical to what is seen on the Youtube video linked above is on the pole right outside my house. I was able to speak to an ATT representative who put in an inquiry to their engineering team about my address not being listed as fiber eligible, and they got back to me today saying that it was a mistake in their database that has now been corrected. Good result. Thanks to those who chimed in.

That's great news!  Forgive me if I hold back on the cartwheels until they actually hook you up and it's running.  I've seen too many "almost" installations that hit a snag right around the time of the installation appointment.

So for now I'm cautiously optimistic.  Let us know what happens.

Finally up and running as of last week. It took a while to get an appointment that would stick, but the install went smoothly and has been working fine after the couple of hours that it took for the AT&T gateway to gain full access to their network (for a while, it was connected to the internet, but showed as being offline in the smart manager app). Has been very reliable since.

Great news and not too long of a wait, too.  Thanks for the update, enjoy your service!

After years of waiting I am in the same boat... They pulled aerial fiber down our street finally, and I see the fiber breakouts at each pole. A couple days ago the site said fiber was available but now it says it isn't. I'll give it a week or two to see if there wasn't something upstream that they needed... but otherwise it would be a shame to spend all that money on the last mile of fiber and not get any subscribers due to a clerical issue...
