When trying to forward port 80, receive warning it may cause TV to stop working properly

When I go to forward port 80 (HTTP) to a PC, I receive the warning message, "Warning: The change you are attempting to make may cause AT&T U-verse TV to stop working properly."  I have fiber to the premises and the BGW210 gateway.  Can I forward port 80 without impacting my TV or other internet services?

Thank you,

Andrew

Thank you, but none of the links provide an answer to my question.  The first link, of course, I checked before posting.  I did follow all the content and referenced links in the other posts.  Most of the focus was on port 443, for the secure service (HTTPS) to the wireless receivers.  I do no need to open port 443.  I am asking about port 80.  I found some references to successfully opening port 80, but it was for older gateways (not the BGW210) and none of the posts mentioned the warning I received about forwarding port 80 impacting my TV service.

I'm still left with the question, can I forward port 80 to a PC without impacting my TV or other internet services?

Essentially, if you forward port 80 and your'e getting this error message, you're excluding all traffic from getting to other devices that use that port (your AT&T U-verse TV receivers being one of them). It is recommended that you DO NOT forward port 80 to a single device like what you mentioned in your original post.
