What to Mbps values to enter when prioritizing devices on wifi network?

I'm trying to prioritize some devices on my wifi network (e.g., laptops mostly). The mesh network admin interface is telling me this:

Ensure that you've entered the exact download and upload bandwidths provide by your ISP. Entering a bandwidth that is too low or high may affect your Quality of Service (QoS) performance.

I have two fields, upload Mbps and download Mbps, to enter this information into, but have no idea what the numbers should be. Any suggestions?

I would start with 940 Mbps down / 940 Mbps up for your initial settings.

Much appreciated, Dave.

Silly question, but I presume that if I want to set the priority of other devices they need to be in smaller and smaller increments? So if I want my laptop to be top priority with 940 up and down, then the secondary device should be less than that, correct?

For the life of me I can’t understand why this rabbit hole needs to be visited.  With that much bandwidth everything should work fine.
