WHAT DO I NEED TO DO????????
For the 5th time today (already), and for continuous days that I have stopped counting, my very expensive, upgraded service dropped. Now it only lasts between 2 - 3 minutes. However, this is enough to cause pandemonium with ALL devices in my home and home office (and the set-up is nothing unusual or aberrant).
When I last asked, I was told to go to the top corner and click a button for this needed to be handled offline. I did so. I then waited for 45-minutes with no response. Really?
Then I was given a phone number to call (nice . . . I thought). Then I called, throughout the day, for several concurrent days, during what I would call normal business hours. I was each time met with a busy signal with disconnect when I did the extension as directed. Really?
I find it hard that this is the best a multi-billion dollar company can do. My counsel for anyone that may be following these posts, is RUN. Run hard. Run fast. Do not look back. Really!
Meanwhile I am looking for suggestions for better services. I am in the Triangle, North Carolina.

You probably shouldn't post on a community operated by a company looking for suggestions for it's competitors and expect a good result.
It sounds like you may discovered an issue with the firmware that quite a few others (but not everyone) has also encountered: the gateway reboots periodically for no apparent reason. I've not heard of anyone having 5 reboots in one day, though.

What speed are you subscribed to?
Equipment?
my initial thought is poor connection either inside or outside, have you had a tech dispatched to check connections and equipment?

I appreciate the feedback, but will ever so gently push back. If you dig deep here, you will find many, many posts related to the same. This is not an aberrant occurrence.
As for the post on a community forum. All I can say is, you responded. I tried every other provided mechanism with zero effective response by AT&T. As I see it, I have a zero loss position, here.

@ MyThoughts. Thank you. I believe 5G service. Yes, I have attempted to get a live body on-ground. I was told it would be at my expense. However, could not get one scheduled.

No worries about posting your problem, just about asking for suggestions for other services.
I said " quite a few others (but not everyone)." I don't see a problem with that characterization. Are you objecting to saying that "5 reboots a day" is exceptional? You want to point out where anyone else says they've gotten 5 reboots before 10 AM?

Copy that. I start a day very early. I guess I am of a persuasion that it does not matter when I . . . or anyone else . . . starts their day. It should not be happening. If I could cite the specific pages, with all the like comments, I would be happy to do that. Two barriers for me: way too many to cite, and I am not sure how I might bring forward those citations.

As you might see in one of the other threads about this issue, it has been suggested that turning off IPv6 may be a workaround for the problem. It's worth a try. If you choose to do so, I would be interested in your feedback on whether it makes a difference.

It looks to me like the OP said he has "5G Service". If that's accurate we're looking at a very different set of circumstances, no?

He posted in fiber. He did say 5G in response to my thought's question, but do you know whether he meant:
1) 5G Wireless service (which I would agree would put him in a whole different can of soup)
2) 5Gbps Fiber service
3) 5G Wi-Fi, which really doesn't bear much thought except for how people constantly talk about someone cut "their Wi-Fi cable" or how much they pay for their "Wi-Fi service."
So @CobbleOffice , which of these did you mean?

Or
4) Fixed Wireless, which isn't 5G but because it goes to a cell tower I could see people thinking it was 5G.
The suspense!
