Weied speed drop when i did IP pass thru

I have a  BGW320-505 and it is hooked up 5Gbps to a high end Mikrotik router. My computer is hooked up to the router with a 10Gbps connection.

I was getting 1200-1300 down and 971 up. But this was a double NAT and wanted to do IP Passthru.

I setup IP passthru and this worked perfectly.

However something odd happened. Rather then getting 1300, I now get 970 down.

I reset the config on the BGX320 and this issue persisted.

I think my switching to IP Pass thru changed something on the AT&T side for provisioning.

My speed test on the AT&T site now shows 970 down where it has always shown 1200.

Is there some issue when switching to IP Pass thru that would limit speeds ?

I am on the 1000 plan.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that maybe you're on ALT OPTICS GPON and should be limited to 1000 all the time, except that sometimes you're not.  The change to IP Passthrough may or may not have been a coincidence.

Indeed JefferMC, ALT OPTICS GPON... Yellow handle SFP..

I donno about coincidence. All day it was testing out at like 1200.. Lots of config changes, restarts, power cycles, even a full rest at one point.. Still 1200.. Then IP Passthru.. Bork immd... From that moment on its been 950 down. I fullly reset and did everything I can on my end and its stuck at 950 now for 2 days.

NOT THAT I CARE... Latency is stunningly awesome. Jitter is nearly zero. and 200 Mbps is enough for me..

It was just a very weird thing.. I lost overprovision because I toggled IP-Passthru. That really sounds like some type of AT&T provisioning config issue on their end.
