Upgrade Firmware on Pace 5268AC

How can the firmware be upgrade on this device? Usually there is a way to download a file and upgrade a router but I haven't found a way yet with this device. Currently on 10.5.3.527171-att and I've seen posts listing firmware numbers higher than this.

I'm hoping a bug on the auto-select wifi channel will be fixed as it selects channels that should never be chosen, like 9 in my case and other houses around me. It's causing unnecessary interference when not selecting only 1,6 or 11.

AT&T controls firmware updates on their Gateways.  When they have a new version to install, they will push it out.  You can't get it early.  You can't delay the install.

If it's an AT&T managed device, they will push the firmware they want you to have when they want you to have it.  You can try unplugging the device and plugging it back in to see if it will pull a newer version of the firmware.

Hello. I have a U-Verse Model 5268AC with firmware version 10.5.3.527157-att. Apparently a new version is needed for mDNS and Bonjour to function correctly. I left the system running on line for days now and no updates were pushed. The system shows that the Connection to AT&T is UP and the unit has a solid Service light displayed, yet no firmware update. How do I get the Modem/Router to upgrade to a newer version?

Thank you in advance for any help and suggestions.

Thanks, but the problem was resolved by finding the install package for 10.5.3.527171-att. Now our testing can continue.

Best Regards.

I hope not, that the original firmware according to (5268AC's admin webpage)->Settings->Logs->Upgrade Logs

And if it isn't, what is the latest & how do I get it?

My 5268AC is on 10.5.6.529489-att (its original firmware) and I thought there are vulnerabilities left exposed (http://www.zdnet.com/article/flaws-in-att-routers-put-customers-at-risk/).

Looks like I might have to go back to Xfinity. AT&T sent me 2 Pace 5268s already. They said they would send a BGW-210 but shipped a Pace anyway  Tech came out and did not have a BGW-210 even though I asked them bring one. One last appointment with a tech this Saturday. We will see what happens.

They will not send anything but the Pace 5286.  I am on my third one and it shuts down my internet the minute I connect it to my system (ATT continues to tell me they will ship something else).  They say the latest software has fixed the issue they have when you connect a personal router to the Pace, but it didn't work for me.  I am told the latest firmware is version 11.2.1.  The 5286 is designed to be the master router for your home (i.e. internet, phone, TV, etc.) and is not designed to be a an internet only device (i.e. modem).  ATT says they will not charge me for the downtime, but they have no way of knowing how many days we have been without internet because their router is up and running without issue, but won't let anything happen outside of its sphere.  It is extremely frustrating that they won't acknowledge that this router is an issue and send something else out.  HELP!!!

I had my Pace 5268AC replaced in the metro Atlanta market today with a proper Arris BGW210-700.  The tech told me that only the Pace modems are shipped, and they only have the Arris modems on the trucks.  Try again, only persistance will win against AT&T's garbage on-prem equipment.
