Tekken 8 routes

recently been trying to play tekken 8 online, having horrible/unstable connections to nearly every opponent. Is ATT having an issue with the traceroute to tekken servers? Game is almost unplayable, making me consider look at other options for ISP. Play several other games without any issue. Difficult to determine where I can send a ping test to, I’m unsure of the tekken server ip. Any assistance in trying to diagnose the issue greatly appreciated.

Hi @Wr8th,

Thank you for reaching out to us! We understand that you're facing issue with your internet connection while gaming. We hear you, and happy to assist you.

First, we recommend viewing our article that covers High Latency & Ping. It has more information on your issue along with some helpful tips. Along with that, we recommend running a traceroute to the server that you are experiencing the high ping with. This way can determine if it's a game server issue or with the network itself. You can also use our article on Trouble Gaming & High Ping for more troubleshooting options, some of which you may not have tried yet.

We recommend that you try optimizing your internet connection, this will help boost your internet connection. Also, try prioritizing the connected device. Please visit our article about use Smart Home Manager to control your devices for the steps. Once you prioritize, please run a speed test, and check if the issue is fixed or not.

We recommend restarting the Wi-Fi gateway by following these steps: Restart your gateway or modem manually

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of your gateway or modem. If you have:
    • An internal battery backup, remove it
    • DSL, unplug the phone cord from your modem or gateway
  2. Wait 20 seconds.
  3. Put the internal battery back in if you have one.
  4. Plug the power cord back in. If you have DSL service, reconnect the phone cord.
  5. Wait for the gateway or modem to restart and your Broadband light to turn solid green. This can take up to 10 minutes.

Please try the about provided steps and let us know if the issue persists.
