Static while streaming on AT&T Fiber

From time to time I receive static while streaming on Amazon Prime & Hulu — not so much on Netflix. I get regular TV  OTA. 


My system is AT&T Fiber, BGW210, hardwired to a printer and a Netgear  GS108 Switch hardwired to my Roku. The rest of my system runs off my Netgear Router R8500, wirelessly.

Hi @jjgk, we'll be happy to help with your streaming quality.


There are a few suggestions we can give for this.

  1. Check the connection between the Roku and the TV. Unplug the cable/Roku from the tv and reconnect it.
  2. Reset the Roku by unplugging it from the power for 30 seconds.
  3. Check out Optimize Your Connection page to ensure you are getting the best internet connection and to test your speed.

If you are still having trouble, can you give us some more details?

  • Are you having trouble streaming on any other devices?
  • Is the static more "fuzzy/snowy" or "pixilated/blocky/breaking" up?
  • Is it just the sound or video as well that's distorted?
