SmartHome Manager blocking websites, but not telling me which ones

It's suppose to be under the top right message envelope.  But its not saying anything about blocked websites.

Hi @eward24, we understand your concern, and we're here to help get your website back up and running,

We recommend that you turn on or turn off and add the website to the exceptions list in the Smart Home Manager App.

In order to turn this feature on or off:

  • Go to Smart Home Manager
  • Choose Settings, and the App preferences
  • Turn AT&T internet security On or Off

For more information, please find our article on the Active Armor security suite feature that is affecting your website.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you,

Jasmine, AT&T Community Specialist.

Maybe it'll show the next one, ist still not showing the two sites it said its blocking.  The last time it blocked something it told me and it was actually something i wanted to get out, so i was able to make an exception.  No idea about these two.

Hi again @eward24, thank you for the information. Let's look at this from another direction and get the help you need.

Are you at home when this happens or are you away from home? Are you trying to access this site on a public or a private Wi-Fi?

The reason for those questions is that you will not be able to use the unblock feature publicly as we have determined that the site is a phishing site.

Also, have you tried contacting the sites', web host to open a support ticket on their end yet? The site needs to be aware that their site is being deemed as a phishing site and there might be a problem on their end that needs to addressed before we can unblock it.

When a site is deemed a phishing site, it is something on that site that looks suspicious. It is the website owners responsibility to make sure that the site is free of anything that can be deemed dangerous to the public.

If indeed the site is free of anything that might cause problems with devices or computers, then here are some steps that could help:

  1. Clear the app cache and app data.
  2. Unistall the app.
  3. Shut the mobile device down.
  4. Power the mobile device back up.
  5. Re-install the app.
  6. Reactivate the security.
  7. Try the site again and let it fail.
  8. Try the steps that we have previously stated to see if we can get it unblocked.

Please try these steps and update us with the progress.

Thank you,

Jasmine, AT&T Community Specialist.

I'll do that.  The last time i was at work not accessing any websites, which sounds bad, but the last time it was an app i use to update my ddns site of my current WAN IP.  totally legit, just marked as blocked.
