Samsung TV disconnects from network when turned off and won’t connect to router unless a network reset is done.
Hello!
I currently have 2 Samsung QLED tv’s and I’m having the same problem with both. When I turn off the tv’s after about a few hours they will disconnect from the router or extender. I turn the TV back on and get the error message. When the connection graphic comes up on the screen it shows the little red x’s on both the TV to the router and the router to the internet (world). I then have to reset the network on the TV in order for it to reconnect to the network.
I have been looking around and I believe it could be something with the DHCP lease and the TV, but that’s a shot in the dark.
All my other devices work just fine and I am on fiber. I have a BGW210-700 router.
Anyone else experienced these issues??

OK that was helpful. Have you tried to just set the IP to a static address to see if that will allow you to get past this DHCP auto connection issue after the Wi-Fi connection drops?
Just pick an address like 192.168.1.120
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.254 (default of your router)
DNS: 192.168.1.254
You can use the default caching DNS on your router but I would suggest you try a more robust DNS server like Cloudflair at 1.1.1.1 or Google at 8.8.8.8

I called Samsung support again and they turned off “instant on” and that seems to have solved the problem. 3 days in a row with no disconnections. However, it did create another problem- Samsung TV plus doesn’t work 🤷🏻♂️

I had this same issue with my new 55 Inch Frame TV connected to AT&T wifi. Ever since I set it up, the tv has disconnected from wifi at least twice per day. The only way to get it reconnected was to unplug and replug. I contacted Samsung via their messaging service and within about 5 minutes they remote accessed my TV and turned the “Instant On” OFF. Ever since this change, I haven’t had any issues. Total time with Samsung on text was about 10 minutes. I wish I had done this sooner. Problem solved.

First what "extender" do you have?
The TV's should not be switching between the BGW210 and the extender if your Wi-Fi is setup correctly. How much distance is there between your router and your extender?
DHCP should not be an issue as the router should just renew the DHCP IP address over and over again based on the MAC address of each individual TV.

They are connected to the extender primarily. They are the ones from ATT. Smart extender.

OK that narrows it down to the Airties 4920 or 4921. Does your extender ever have "red" lights indicating a connection issue between it and your router?
Also on your QLED TVs do you have any power saving settings turned on?

No red lights. Solid green on all of them.
I am not sure about the power setting, but I don’t think so. I will check it out though.
Some thing I am noticing in my Smart Home Manager is that the blue line under my device keeps getting longer even though the TV is off which would indicate streaming. I have noticed that the TV is offline once the blue line is all the way across or full.
It’s almost as though once it hits a limit it won’t let it connect to the network. See the pictures below they are about 2 hours apart. TV has been off the entire time.

I am not ending any streaming. I’m just turning them off.
I can send a picture of the error I am getting since both my TV’s were just kicked off the network.

Please share the pic. Every extra piece of information will help to narrow down where to look next.
Just to clarify. If you are streaming Netflix you don't stop or pause the Netflix app but just use your TV remote to turn off your OLED?

I am either using the ATT TV app or the Samsung TV streaming app that comes with the TV.
