Restarted my ONT box, now no internet and Alarm Light blinks red

I have the Gigabit fiber package and I experienced regular outages that lasted a few minutes for months without finding a fix. Finally someone suggested I restart the ONT box to see if that could fix the problem. After restarting the alarm light is blinking red while the PON light blinks. Can't find any issue specific enough, to help me with this and I can't find any solution that works.
